You didn't have a skin problem. You had a water problem.

PressureRain™ runs every drop through a three-stage mineral core, then fires it back harder than your tap ever managed. Filtered water. Higher pressure. Both, at once.

The misattribution

Your serum is fighting your water.
The water is winning.

Most supplies are chlorinated on the way to your home, and the majority of households sit in a hard-water area. That's the film on the glass, the scum in the tub, and the tight squeaky-dry feeling twenty minutes after you towel off. You've been treating the symptom at the sink while the cause runs through the showerhead.

  • Wrong suspect 01

You changed shampoo. Twice. Your hair still went flat by day two — because it isn't the shampoo carrying the minerals, it's the water rinsing it out.

  • Wrong suspect 02

You upgraded the moisturiser. It's working hard to replace oils that eight litres of unfiltered water strips off every morning.

  • Wrong suspect 03

You blamed your genetics. Then you showered somewhere with soft water on holiday and your skin behaved perfectly. That wasn't the sea air.

Test 02Stream density · unedited

Filtered isn't supposed to hit this hard.

Velocity, not volume.

A standard head dumps water through wide bores — it fans out, soaks the wall behind you, and half of it never touches your body. PressureRain™ forces the same supply through a dense micro-nozzle matrix. Narrower apertures, higher exit speed, a stream that stays a column instead of a cloud. Less water leaving the head. More of it landing on you.

Inside the barrel

Three minerals.
One barrel.
You can watch it work.

Almost every filter here hides behind opaque plastic and asks you to take its word for it. PressureRain™ runs a fully transparent chamber — the media is visible from the day it's clean to the day it's spent. Proof you can see beats a claim you can't check.

  • Stage 01 · Ceramic

    Sediment & particulate

First contact. Catches the rust flecks, grit and pipe sediment your tiles have been collecting for years.

  • Stage 02 · Anion

    Odour & impurities

Where the flat chemical smell goes. If you can smell your shower before you feel it, this is the stage you notice first.

  • Stage 03 · Mineral stone

    Softening & balance

The clay-coloured layer. Conditions hard water so it rinses clean instead of leaving that dragging film behind.

Straight answer: the beads are a consumable. Swap them roughly every 6–8 weeks depending on your water. Anyone selling you a filter that lasts forever is selling you a decoration.

Core 03Visible filtration chamber
Why this one

Four things nobody else
copies properly.

Anyone can print "filtered" on a box. These are the parts that hold up in your actual bathroom.

  • The stop, not the tap

Press once and the water holds. Press again and it returns at the exact temperature you left it. Condition, shave, lather, wash the dog — without re-dialling the mixer or taking a cold shock to the ribs.

One thumb · zero cold shock
  • Velocity over volume

The micro-nozzle panel raises exit speed while letting less water through the head. A harder rinse that doesn't need a bigger flow to get there — which your meter notices before you do.

    Harder rinse · leaner draw
  • Filtration you can see

A transparent barrel packed with three visible bead types. You watch the media work and you can see exactly when it's spent. No sealed cartridge, no faith required.

    Transparent chamber
  • Three modes, one thumb

Rain for the everyday. Jet for a scalp rinse that actually gets the conditioner out. Massage for the end of a long shift. Twist the collar mid-shower — no second head, no second fitting.

    Rain / Jet / Massage
Modes 04Rain → Jet → Massage
Mode change

Same head. Three completely different showers.

The collar clicks between settings with wet hands, mid-shower, without reaching for the wall. That's the whole point of a handheld.

The detail you'll use most
Stop 05Flow held · temperature kept

The button nobody else gives you.

Listed everywhere as a feature and understood by almost nobody. A stop button isn't really about saving water, although it does. It's about never choosing between standing under water you don't need and killing the temperature you spent forty seconds finding.

  • Use case 01

    Conditioner, held

Stop the flow, work it through, wait the two minutes. Start again at the same heat.

  • Use case 02

    Kids and dogs

Pause between rinses instead of wrestling a running head one-handed.

  • Use case 03

    Cleaning the tub

Jet mode plus a stop button turns the head into a rinsing tool for tile, grout and corners.

  • 01

    Unscrew the old head

Counter-clockwise, by hand. A tea towel gives you grip if it's been on there a decade.

  • 02

    Wrap the thread

Two or three turns of PTFE tape on the arm. This is the step people skip and then blame on the product.

  • 03

    Hand-tighten, then run it

Snug, not gorilla-tight — over-torquing plastic threads is what cracks them. Run ten seconds to clear the line.

Straight answers

Ask the awkward ones.

Will it fit my shower?

If your current head unscrews, yes. The inlet is an 18 mm universal thread — the standard fitting on shower arms and flexible hoses in the UK, EU, US and Australia. No adapters, no plumber, no tools. The one setup it won't retrofit onto is a fixed ceiling rainfall head with no removable joint.

Doesn't filtering kill the pressure?

That's the fear, and it's why cheap filters feel awful. This one solves it at the face plate, not the barrel: water passes the media, then exits a dense micro-nozzle matrix that narrows each aperture and raises exit velocity. Tighter and faster than a standard wide-bore head, on less water. On a genuinely weak supply, run it on Jet — that's the mode built for low-pressure systems.

How often do the beads need replacing — and is that a subscription trap?

Roughly every 6–8 weeks, sooner if your water is very hard. No subscription, no locked cartridge, no proprietary chip. The chamber unscrews and takes standard mineral bead refills, so you're never held hostage by one supplier. You'll also see when it's due — that's the entire advantage of a transparent barrel.

Is it going to clog and start spraying sideways?

That's the standard failure here, and it has one cause: spent media pushing sediment into the nozzles. Two habits prevent it — change the beads on schedule, and once a month rub a thumb across the wet face plate to clear limescale. Thirty seconds. That's the whole maintenance routine.

Be honest — is the body plastic?

The chassis is chrome-plated ABS with a transparent ABS chamber. Not solid brass, and we won't pretend otherwise. That's deliberate: you hold this in wet hands above a hard floor, and ABS survives a drop that chips brass and cracks the tub. The trade-off is plastic threads — hand-tighten, don't wrench, use the tape. Over-torquing is the number one cause of a cracked fitting on any handheld head, whatever the badge says.

What does it actually do for skin and hair?

The careful version, because this category is full of pages that overclaim. The mineral core reduces sediment and conditions hard water, so product rinses out cleaner and leaves less mineral film behind. What people notice first: no squeak after towelling off, hair that combs through with less resistance, no chemical smell in the steam. It's a shower head, not a dermatological treatment — take a diagnosed skin condition to your GP, not to a product page.

Will it work in an RV, a caravan or a flat with weak plumbing?

It's one of the better options for exactly that. The micro-nozzle panel makes a modest supply feel far stronger, and the one-touch stop is genuinely valuable when you're working from a tank — you pause between rinses instead of draining it.
